Bookshelf

I think I’m a bookaholic!

Everywhere you look in our house you’ll see books nestled on side tables, piled high on bedside tables, and arranged neatly in subject categories along walls of bookshelves.

I have books with crinkled corners and worn pages that are more than 100 years old and have been read by several generations of our family, and there are bright shiny new books that I couldn’t resist to add to my collection.

For me, reading is a delight that inspires me, stretches my thinking, feeds my curiosities, and nurtures me to grow in both breadth and depth of understanding.  As Dr Seuss reminds us:

The more that you read, the more things you will know.
The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.

Diving into a good book opens up a whole world of knowledge and learning, and takes us to places we can’t yet imagine.

It will be hard to choose just a few but I’ll share some of my favourites on this page.  I hope they’ll inspire you to pop down to your local library to have a browse.

Happy reading!
